Remember to save often.
This tutorial is written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP.
i actually made this tag, and wrote this tutorial with my very dear friend Dawn in mind, who lost her brother in law recently.. big hugggz to you Dawn xox!
1.
New Image - 750 x 550
We're going to start with the circles, open up your papers of choice.
Using your circle preset shape, draw the first circle (biggest one) - i used paper-06 from the kit.
Add dropshadow
i used: 0,0,50,5.00
Now, draw another circle using 2nd paper, making the circle a little smaller this time - i used paper 08.
Do not add a dropshadow to this one yet. Now, draw a third circle, smaller than the second one - i used paper 04 from the kit.
Add a dropshadow (same as before)
And lastly, draw one more circle, smaller than the third - i used paper 08 again.
Add dropshadow again.
Now click on the 2nd circle you made, (the one we didnt add dropshadow to yet).
Open up your tube of choice.
Effects, Plugins , Mura's Meister, Copies
In the dropdown select "wallpaper rotate"
i left the rest at their default settings.
click ok.
Now resize by 90% and make sure its still covering the circle layer
(the one without the dropshadow)
click on your circle layer to make it active.
Selections - Select all
Selections - Float
Selections - Defloat
Selections - Invert
Now click on the tube layer and hit your delete key.
Duplicate the tube layer
Click on the bottom tube layer and Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - 4.00
Click on the top tube layer & change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
2.
now open the frame (cc-frame-01) - paste it on your canvas over top of the circles resize it by 90%.
Open your preset shape tool again and choose rectangle
Using paper of choice, ( i used paper 08 again )
draw a rectangle and lower it beneath the frame layer. Open up your tube again and place it beneath the frame layer as well where you want it.
Click on your frame layer to make it active again. Using your magic wand tool, click inside of the frame.
Selections - Modify - Expand by 7
Selections - Invert
Now click on your tube layer again, and hit the delete key.
You should see no tube over the frame now, just within it. Change the blend mode for your tube to Luminance (Legacy)
Now click on the frame layer again
Selections - Select All Selections - Float
Selections - Defloat
In your material pallette, using the color of choice (i used white) - use your dropper tool, click on Foreground and Stroke Properties.
In the upperhand right corner, click on Textures so it's ticked.
Then in the dropdown right beneath it, find "grid" .
Angle: 0
Scale: 55 Add a new raster layer Now floodfill that layer with your texture. Selections - None.
Add a dropshadow to your frame (same as before) (you can also merge the frame and the texture layer if you like)
Using the paper 08 again, (in foreground & stroke properties of your material pallette)
background & fill - transparent
Line style: solid & Width 10
Draw a rectangle around the frame (see my tag for example)
add dropshadow.
3. Using your circle preset shape tool, draw a circle to the left of the tag with a color of choice
i used #796076
Effects - Plugins - Xero - Fritillary - default settings
Add dropshadow.
Now, using another color of choice, draw a circle a little smaller
i used white
Adjust - Add/Remove Noise - Add Noise - Uniform - 25%
Add dropshadow.
Now draw one more circle using color or paper of choice, i used paper 08. Paste your tube over top of this circle and place where you want it.
Add dropshadow to the tube.
Click on the circle layer to make it active Selections - Select All Selections - Float
Selections - Defloat
Selections - Invert
Click on your tube layer and hit the delete key Selections - Select None
Change the blend mode to Luminance (Legacy)
Add dropshadow to the circle layer now as well.
4.
Now open up the angel wings from the kit - resize by 50%.
Using your raster deform tool, turn the wings to an angle a bit, to the left.
Add dropshadow.
Now using paper 08 again, draw a circle over top of the wings (see my tag for size reference)
Grab the cloud from the kit - (cc-cloud)
paste it over top of the circle you just made.
resize it by 80%
Click on your circle layer
Selections - Select All
Selections - Float Selections - Defloat
Selections - Invert
Click on your cloud layer and hit the delete key
Now click on your circle layer and add dropshadow to it.
Open the diamond button from the kit
Resize it by 25%
Paste it over top of the circle and then duplicate it and place one at the bottom as well. Add dropshadow to them.
Now open the cc-greens-01 from the kit and resize by 50%.
Place it to the far left (see my tag for reference) so it comes out from between the frame & circle
Now lower the layer to the bottom so its beneath everything.
Duplicate - Image - Mirror
Duplicate - Image - Flip
Duplicate - Image - Mirror
So you should now have the greens in each corner.
Open cc-diamond-sparkle.
Place it at the top of the tag, like mine..
Lower it beneath the other layers, then duplicate - Image - Flip
Open the flower - 04 - resize by 30%
place it to the left just beneath the greens.
Add dropshadow - duplicate it.
Image - Mirror
Image - Flip
So the other flower should be just beneath the smaller circle.
5. Using a small font of choice ( i used Fixed-01) color: white size: 06
Type out "my angel" just beneath your frame layer.
Add dropshadow - then change the blend mode to Overlay.
Now using another font of choice (i used Stephanie Marie JF) - color: white size: 48
type out My Angel
Add noise (same as before)
Then add dropshadow.
Now open cc-star-splash from the kit.
paste it over top of the top circle of your 4 circles you made at the beginning of the tag. so the star splash should be right beneath your rectangle layer.
i did not add a dropshadow to the star splash.
Now, using your circle preset shape tool, draw out a circle as big as the largest circle of your tag.
(do not convert it to a raster layer)
Add a new raster layer, and choose the font you want for your text at the top of your tag
(i used Bank Gothic Lt, size: 14 color: black) move your cursor so its at the edge of the vector circle (but make sure you new raster layer is active in your layer pallette)
then type out "when i feel week, i look above"
and your text should take the shape of the vector circle you drew. convert your text to a raster layer.
Hide your vector circle and make sure the text is where you want it.
Once it is, you can delete the vector circle.
Then, type out the rest of your quote at the bottom of the tag.
6.
Last step, the mask !!
Open your mask up in PSP.
Add a new raster layer.
Floodfill this layer using color of choice ( I used paper 08)
Right click on the flood filled layer.
New Mask Layer - From Image
select Becky_Mask042
Source Luminance Checked
Invert Mask Data Unchecked
Click ok.
Right click mask layer, Merge, Merge Group.
Resize your mask by 80%, move it to the left of your tag.
Duplicate it - Image - Mirror so its to the right. Then I duplicated them and flipped to the bottom of the tag. to do this i had to make my canvas a little bit bigger so it wouldnt make that funky line glow around my tag. (you may not have to tho, depending on your tag)
Now add your watermark, and name!
For the name i used Old Republic size: 48.
All finished :-)
